No fashion week for me

Thank you Mod'Art for deciding that fashion week was the best week to really fill up with classes, great idea...

Mystery solved

 

As I passed by the bridge between ile Saint Louis and ile de la cité this friday I noticed the man with the huge vehicle-installation was there again.  I just could not walk by without putting an end to my curiosity and asking him everything I was wondering about... 

The first thing I asked was why he had created all of it (he had made 4 new additional fountains one in the picture above) he answered simply for beauty.

 

 His name is Michel Godin des Mers and as the sign suggests he is an actor/innovator/artisan/poet. He gave me two papers one with a text on politics and one with poetry. 

Even though I might not share his political values I still have to say I appreciate his choice in way of expressing himself

 So if you want to catch a glimpse of Mr des Mers you should be on the bridge between the islands on Friday evenings between 20-00

Ice cream tuesday - yummay

So, Saturday me, Ingrid, Emilia, Live, Johanna & Anna-Maria went to a crazy Party in Marais

 

 And met some awesome people

after that,  on our way to Cirque we passed by Perle and found some friends who gave us a ride in their funny car

 Overall, it was a great night out and a great end to a great week end!

I'm not delusional after all

...when I first saw this man and his vehicle one week ago I didn't have my camera with me, I was alone and I was beginning to think I was loosing it...as I stepped out of the door two days ago I could hear loud singing from the bridge so I hurried up and there he was again. We had a little chat and he is now my favorite person.

The showroom

The showroom is currently showing Pre-fall 2011 and the Escape, which is a new beach and swim wear collection.

I have taken a million photos but I xill put up some close-ups of the clothes and other things tomorrow as I am exhausted...

Internship this week...

As it is fashion week, many international brands bring their collections to Paris to show and sell. I am glad to announce that I just found out I will be spending most of this week in the show room of...

As you can imagine I am extremely happy and will tell you all about it :) 

Hermes flagship

As part of our school assignments we go visit and analyze stores, yesterday I was in the new flagship store of Hermes in rue de Sevres, which is not at all in line with their normal concept.

It opened in november last year and is built in a enormous, old swimmingpool from 1935. I wanted to share some of the photos with you guys:

There were quite a few tourists in the store, but as you can see it's definately worth the visit...
